I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 25 years of experience working in both Colorado and California. My academic background includes earning a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from UCLA and a Master’s degree in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling at USC. My expertise in working in emergency mental health has helped me connect with thousands of individuals, in their worst moments, to work through tremendous pain and personal tragedy. Having spent the bulk of my career working in the hosital setting, I especially enjoy working with physicians, nurses, first responders and anyone who has experienced acute/chronic traumatization or suffers from compassion fatigue and burnout.

My style is interactive, compassionate, and supportive. We will work together utilizing proven, evidenced-base tools and techniques within the TEAM-CBT framework developed by Dr. David Burns. This approach is client-centered, but more importantly, it is effective. I see my role as a temporary guide, working myself out of a job at each session, as you learn and practice new skills to help you build resilience and confidence, overcome obstacles, and achieve your goals. We will work systematically, tracking your progress at each session, adjusting our strategies as needed, and celebrating your successes along the way.

Clients are provided a monthly Superbill that can be used to request partial reimbursement from your insurance company as part of your Out-of-Network provider benefits or we can submit them on your behalf for a nominal fee. Seeking a lower fee provider? We have many great therapists at FGI in our lower fee clinic. The Lower Fee Clinic fee range starts at $95 per 50-minute session with masters-level pre-licensed therapists.
