About My Practice
My goal as a therapist is to provide a mixture of optimism, honesty, humor, and direct practicality. I have a genuine interest in each person seeking treatment and think of the therapeutic relationship as a unique collaborative partnership. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and received training working with children, adolescents, and adults with trauma histories. I specialize in helping individuals who struggle with anxiety and depression or who encounter difficulties within relationships overcome the daily intrusion of negative thoughts and behaviors by providing solution-focused treatment and support. My interests are in trauma, mood disorders, LGBTQ+ identity and supports, relationships, and parenting.
My therapeutic approach is eclectic drawing from cognitive, dialectical, and motivational methodologies with influences of mindfulness. My objective is to help clients identify what is not working and make steps toward managing stressors, where applicable, or eliminating them completely. If you struggle with anxiety or depression, are feeling stuck, are transitioning into your new identity as a parent, or are grappling with the lack of support with your gender identity, I can help and offer compassion and strength when you need it most.
