About My Practice

Are you struggling with significant life changes such as caregiving for a loved one with dementia, coping with anticipatory grief, adjusting to retirement, or dealing with the loss of independence and having to rely on others? These challenges can be hard, but you don't have to navigate them alone. I’m passionate about providing the support you need to thrive during these difficult times.

Together, we will explore your thoughts and feelings about these challenges and work on changing your thinking to achieve your goals and help you feel better. I am a psychologist who has dedicated the past 15 years to supporting adults in these challenging situations. Whether your loved one is showing signs of cognitive decline and you are now in a caregiving role, or you are adjusting to other significant life changes, I can help.

Through TEAM-CBT, I use various techniques to help you understand that while we cannot change the facts, we can control our thoughts about them. The core idea behind CBT is that your thoughts create your feelings. We will work collaboratively to discover your strengths, and uncover your resilient nature using creative approaches tailored to your unique situation. I also teach skills to help you maintain a loving relationship with your loved one, and to find beautiful moments to cherish and look forward to. Once you learn the skills, you can then approach your loved one with a better understanding and feel closer to them.
