About My Practice
Teens and adults who struggle with anxiety—these are the clients Lisa enjoys working with the most. She loves to see clients create and lead lives of meaning, satisfaction and fulfillment.
She uses over ten years of experience to help clients break down the barriers of social anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, communication concerns and relationship problems.
Her counseling style is based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and advanced TEAM Therapy (developed by David Burns, MD at Stanford University). She also has an OCD certification through the Obsessive Compulsive Foundation and is a Certified Cognitive Therapist through the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies. These therapies emphasize support, empathy, openness and specific exercises as some of the effective tools to helping clients overcome their challenges.
Lisa says, “I will listen so I know how to support your needs. I want to teach you new skills you feel confident implementing into your life.”
Lisa received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from UCLA and her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology Marriage and Family Therapy from Notre Dame de Namur University.
