About My Practice

Are you feeling depressed, anxious, and overwhelmed? Are your problems adversely affecting your personal relationships or job success? Let's work together to recapture the joy and peace you deserve.

I enjoy working with clients who can be vulnerable and work toward accepting that we are all imperfect humans. Ineffective therapy can feel like an endless routine of talking without a plan for change. Are you ready to make true life changes and move beyond talking and do the work what will help you move past your challenges? If so, I can help. If you are ready to work hard to meet your treatment goals, I use an approach to therapy that can give you the meaningful change you are looking for. I use a methodology called TEAM-CBT, which is a specific type of cognitive behavioral therapy which helps you identify patterns and behaviors that are no longer working for you and utilize skills and tools to challenge them. TEAM-CBT is collaborative, structured, solution-focused and individualized specifically for you. You will utilize the skills and methods practiced in session as homework to help facilitate your recovery. Clients who get the best results from treatment understand that homework is a natural part of learning and integrating new skills.

Together we can create meaningful change. First, we will take time to learn about your unique situation and life circumstances. Then we will develop a plan. Next, you will learn a replicable process: identify achievable goals, overcome barriers to change, learn and master new skills. I believe you can learn the needed skills to overcome your challenges.

I use outcome measurements routinely to monitor your progress and help you determine when you are ready to graduate from therapy. Successful therapy results in a reduction in negative moods, acquisition of specific and replicable skills, and improvement in overall well-being.

My hope is that when we are done, you will have the skills to feel confident about making the changes you desire to live a more fulfilling and empowered life. Let's build a working relationship that puts you in control of your thoughts, feelings and future.

Concerns I most commonly work with include anxiety (panic, fears, phobias, general worrying), dating concerns, social skills, depression, low self-esteem, and communications struggles.
