About My Practice
If depression, anxiety, trauma, or grief is keeping you from living the life you want, I can help. You may feel stuck right now, but meaningful change is possible—even when other approaches haven’t worked.
Therapy with me is active, collaborative, and practical. Together, we’ll identify what is maintaining the problem, set clear goals, and use proven tools to help you feel better and make lasting changes. I specialize in TEAM-CBT and brief solution-focused therapy, with additional experience in trauma-focused approaches. My goal is not simply to listen, but to help you develop skills you can continue using long after therapy ends. Clients often describe me as warm, compassionate, and understanding, while also appreciating my direct and results-oriented approach.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a master’s degree from Brigham Young University and a PhD from Arizona State University and bring more than 30 years of experience helping adults with depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. I spent 20 years as a clinical social worker and mental health leader in the U.S. Air Force, including deployments and overseas assignments. Those experiences gave me a personal understanding of military life, trauma, family stress, and the challenges of adapting to change. I also appreciate the important roles that faith, family, service, and deeply held values can play in healing, while warmly welcoming clients from every religious and cultural background.
I work best with adults who are motivated to change and willing to practice new skills between sessions. If you’re ready to do the work, I’ll bring experience, empathy, honesty, and effective tools to help you move toward a more hopeful and satisfying life.
