About My Practice

If you’ve spent your life feeling like the outsider, the misfit, or the one nobody quite understood, you are not alone here.

I specialize in working with teens, young adults, and adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, shame, anger, trauma, and self-doubt. Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns they cannot seem to break. Some have learned to hide what they’re going through. Others feel everything intensely and don’t know how to slow it down.

I have over 13 years of experience supporting youth and young adults through counselling, crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and school-based mental health work. I am especially passionate about helping those who often feel the hardest to reach — the ones who quietly believe that nobody could truly understand them.

My approach is warm, real, and grounded in evidence-based care. I use TEAM-CBT, cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, and practical skill-building to help clients not just talk about their struggles, but actually change the patterns that keep them stuck. My goal is to help you feel better, think more clearly, and build the tools you need to move forward with confidence.

Therapy with me doesn’t feel cold or clinical. I bring personality into the room. I love metal music, horror films, pop culture, and fitness — and I understand how much identity and belonging can be tied to the spaces we feel most yourself in. For many clients, working with someone who genuinely “gets” that makes therapy feel safer and more natural.

I have a particular gift for connecting with people who feel outside the mainstream — the ones who have felt judged, dismissed, or too complicated for others to understand. For many of my clients, being able to sit with someone who genuinely understands outsider culture, emotional intensity, and the need for authenticity makes all the difference.

I was born and raised in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, and my early life gave me firsthand exposure to hardship, isolation, and the impact of substance use on youth and families. That experience continues to shape how I listen, how I understand pain, and how I show up in my work.

I hold a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from Memorial University of Newfoundland, along with undergraduate degrees in Psychology (Honours) and Education. I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor and continue to pursue advanced training to provide the highest quality care.

If you’re looking for a therapist who is compassionate, genuine, and committed to real change — I would be honoured to work with you.
