About My Practice
You may be working hard to improve your life, yet still find yourself caught in patterns of anxiety, self-criticism, or discouragement. Many thoughtful and capable people experience this when they are trying to make meaningful changes but feel unsure how to move forward or maintain momentum.
I believe every person has an incredible capacity for growth. Yet many of us struggle to identify the changes we need, initiate action, or sustain progress once we start. My work focuses on helping clients activate their change process moving from potential to progress and a life that is more meaningful, engaged, and fulfilling.
I provide structured, evidence-based therapy grounded in TEAM-CBT, developed by David D. Burns and taught through the Feeling Good Institute. I also integrate approaches from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness practices, and principles of non-violent communication to help clients develop practical tools for navigating life’s challenges.
Rather than focusing only on talking about problems, our work together emphasizes developing a psychological toolkit that you can use long after therapy ends. I also offer focused intensive therapy sessions for individuals who want to work deeply on a specific challenge and accelerate meaningful progress.
My approach is collaborative, structured, and practical. Clients often appreciate that therapy is both compassionate and results focused. Together we work to understand the patterns that are creating distress and identify effective strategies for change.
In our sessions, you can expect support, honesty, and thoughtful challenges. My goal is to create an environment where you feel genuinely understood while also helping you build the skills needed to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
I work with adolescents and adults who want to create meaningful change in their lives and are open to learning new ways of understanding their thoughts, emotions, and behavior.
Many of my clients are experiencing:
• Anxiety and chronic worry
• Depression or low motivation
• Self-criticism and perfectionism
• Trauma or difficult life transitions
• Stress, burnout, or feeling overwhelmed
• Health challenges and sleep difficulties affecting quality of life
People who benefit most from my approach are motivated to reflect on their experiences and willing to take practical steps toward change.
Therapy is a partnership focused on helping you move from potential to progress. In our work together, we will focus on helping you:
• Clarify your values and what truly matters in your life
• Identify and overcome the barriers that limit motivation and growth
• Develop practical tools for navigating challenges with resilience and flexibility
• Build a life characterized by greater meaning, engagement, and well-being
I am a licensed psychologist with more than 20 years of experience helping individuals navigate emotional and life challenges. I value honesty, compassion, and personal growth, both professionally and personally.
Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy spending time outdoors exploring the Eastern Sierra through hiking, biking, skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, and sailing. I also enjoy making music, learning new instruments, playing board games, and mindfulness practices such as yoga and meditating.
My life experiences—including adopting three children from foster care and living abroad for two years—have shaped my understanding of resilience, cultural transitions, and the many ways people grow through life’s challenges.
