About My Practice
Are you feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, caught in a cycle of overthinking, or struggling with difficulties in your relationships? Perhaps you're feeling stuck in familiar patterns, dealing with painful experiences, or simply finding that life isn't feeling the way you'd like it to.
I provide individual and couples therapy, with a particular focus on anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), relationship difficulties, and trauma. I also help people experiencing depression, grief, stress, low self-esteem, and challenging life transitions. My goal is to offer a supportive space where you can better understand yourself, work through challenges, and make meaningful changes in your life.
I am a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto and a professional background in social work and mental health spanning more than two decades. I am registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
My Approach
My approach is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental. I believe therapy should be tailored to each person, rather than expecting everyone to benefit from the same approach. Some people come to therapy looking for practical tools to manage symptoms and make changes in their daily lives. Others want to explore deeper patterns, better understand themselves, or simply have a space to talk openly about what they're going through. Often, therapy involves a combination of both.
I draw from a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based strategies. These approaches can be helpful in understanding and changing patterns of thinking and behaviour that contribute to anxiety, OCD, depression, and other difficulties. I also recognize that therapy isn't always about learning techniques or changing thoughts. Sometimes it's equally important to explore underlying emotions, relationships, and past experiences to develop a deeper understanding of ourselves.
Above all, I value creating a therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable being yourself. You don't need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. We can work together to understand what's troubling you, explore what matters most, and find a way forward at a pace that feels right for you.
Getting Started
I offer in-person therapy in Etobicoke, near Islington Station, and virtual therapy throughout Ontario. Whether you're seeking support for yourself or your relationship, therapy can provide an opportunity for greater understanding, meaningful change, and a renewed sense of hope.
