In this workshop, Drs. Burns and Levitt will present powerful and creative CBT techniques to help your patients AND yourself overcome feelings of self-doubt and self-loathing which often arise from beliefs that drive much of the world’s emotional suffering. During the workshop, you will observe dramatic excerpts from live therapy sessions that will bring the techniques to life along with didactic teaching and interactive practice exercises. You’ll leave with tools to support your patients in overcoming feelings of inferiority, inadequacy, and self-doubt.

  •  How to help patients embrace their flaws and reduce shame with the Feared Fantasy Technique, the Survey Technique and Self-Disclosure

  •  How to use the TEAM-CBT framework - T = Testing, E = Empathy, A = Assessment of Resistance, and M = Methods—to follow a step-by-step approach to making therapy more effective.
