Let’s discover more about her experience…
TEAM-CBT Certified since…
2017
How did you discover TEAM-CBT?
After a recommendation from my colleagues to train with Dr. Burns. I then attended an intensive in San Francisco in 2017 and was hooked!
What are your specialties / clients you love to work with?
I love to work with people of diverse backgrounds, so I think that includes about anyone! This includes those who are motivated to work, yet may feel some doubt or stuckness, loneliness and/or isolation. I also enjoy working with adolescents transitioning to college, adults with work and/or life challenges, and those recovering from trauma.
What is your favorite TEAM-CBT technique?
By far the Double Standard Technique and Individual Downward Arrow, as well as Conquering Self-defeating Beliefs.
What are you reading or listening to?
I love to hear Rihanna’s song "Lift Me Up" from the latest Black Panther movie. It helps me feel closer to the ancestors. I'm hoping to begin reading Rest is Resistance soon as well.
Please share a fun fact about yourself.
I am third (maternal) and second (paternal) born American, and I love to travel. I hope one day to visit every single country on the continent of Africa! That would be an amazing life. I have no biological children but care for 6 other peoples’ children, the youngest of which is 5 and she is teaching me so much. I love them all.
