How did you discover TEAM-CBT?
After reading Dr. Burns' book Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy, which led me to his website, the Feeling Good Podcast and other training options.
What are your specialties / clients you love to work with?
I love to work with adults and I specialize in the treatment of depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship issues and insomnia.
What is your favorite TEAM-CBT technique?
There are so many powerful TEAM-CBT techniques. Voicing the Resistance (Externalization of Resistance) is a TEAM-CBT technique that is powerful for clients because it allows them to fully articulate why the change they are seeking is important to them. This leads to an openness to doing the difficult personal and interpersonal work that is required to recover from mood disorders and repair relationships.
What are you reading or listening to?
Many! Here is a sampling:
Listening To: RAIN meditation series by Tara Brach, PhD; Tash Sultana's newest album "Sugar EP"
Reading: Think Again by Adam Grant; The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells
Please share a fun fact about yourself.
I love making deep turns in steep powder. Skiing and just being on the mountain brings me joy.
